Meet Ms. Corcoran

The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you—B. B. King.

School librarian, Maureen Corcoran, graduated from Emporia State University in 2022. But she's been working with teens for more than 20 years as an English teacher. She switched roles in August 2022.

When she's not at school helping students and teachers with research and finding great books, you'll find her at home curled up with a book and a her loveable miniature Schnauzer. She really is a homebody, but she has gone on exciting adventures to Ireland, Mexico, Chicago, Alaska, and California. She prefers train travel to flying. And her one rule about going to new places is to eat local. No eating at chain restaurants that can be found at home.

She loves horror books and mystery novels, but she is always open to suggestions about great stories no matter the genre. Stop in to say hello and get a free book recommendation.
